JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Nigerian striker Victor Moses has officially left Chelsea for Russian side Spartak Moscow on Friday (07/02).
Moses made 20 appearances for Spartak during his loan spell last season, and has now agreed his move on a permanent basis.
"Victor Moses has completed a permanent transfer to Spartak Moscow. The move ends his nine-year career as a winger at Chelsea," Chelsea wrote in a statement, as quoted by AFP on Saturday (07/03/2021).
The 30-year-old has spent nine years at Chelsea, but has struggled to break into the first-team squad in recent seasons.
After joining Chelsea in 2012 from Wigan, Moses made 128 appearances for the Blues.
He scored 18 goals and helped Chelsea win the Premier League, FA Cup, and the Europa League.
Apart from Spartak Moscow, Moses has also been on loan at Liverpool, Stoke, West Ham, Fenerbahce, and Inter Milan during his time with Chelsea.
Moses, who has scored 12 goals in 37 appearances for Nigeria, played in the 2014 and 2018 World Cups, and helped the Super Eagles win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013, as reported by Antara.
