JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Bahrudin, head of the Tangerang District Attorney's Office, has accompanied Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini in reporting the misusage of the Keluarga Harapan Program (PKH) funds of the Ministry of Social Affairs in Tangerang which reaches billions of rupiahs.

Bahrudin was asked by Tri Rismaharini, also known as Risma, to explain what had been found on the ground. In addition, he also conveyed the handling that had been carried out by the Tangerang District Attorney regarding the fund misusage case.

Bahrudin explained that PKH assistance is a social assistance program aimed at the poor, in this case in Tangerang Regency. His office has conducted an investigation in Tigaraksa District, Tangerang Regency, for the misuse of PKH social aid funds.

"What we have done so far is that we have identified two suspects in the misuse of PKH funds, which were carried out by social assistants. Apart from that, there are other things that we are still working on. There are still eight social assistants," said Bahrudin at the Ministry of Social Affairs Office, on Tuesday (08/03/2021).

Bahrudin explained that in Tigaraksa Sub-district there are 12 sub-districts, 12 villages, and two sub-districts. His office then named as suspect the social assistants who provided assistance for four villages in Tigaraksa.

"As for the losses, the social assistance that was not distributed to the four villages reached around IDR800 million, which was taken or misused by the two suspects. The estimated loss of money not distributed from the PKH Social Assistance for Tigaraksa District for 2018 and 2019 is around IDR 3.5 billion. That's an estimate of money that was not distributed to PKH recipients," Bahrudin explained.

In the first mode, the two social assistants ask for an ATM Card from the Beneficiary Families (KPM). The ATM cards were then swiped by the social assistants and a certain amount of money was withdrawn, which were then handed over to the beneficiary receivers.

"The money that was handed over to the KPMs did not match what they (social assistants) swiped. There is a difference. Indeed, there is a difference of IDR50,000, IDR100,000, but if you add it up with other KPMs, the number is fantastic," said Bahrudin.

Bahrudin admitted that in the COVID-19 pandemic situation, there were many social assistance provided to people in underprivileged areas. He hopes that the organizers can carry out their responsibilities in carrying out their duties according to their functions. His office will not hesitate to take firm action against cases of social assistance being misused.

On the same occasion, Social Affairs Minister Risma emphasized that the Ministry of Social Affairs had collaborated with the Attorney General's Office and the Police to handle the case. In addition, Social Affairs Minister Risma also emphasized that social assistants have actually received salaries, so there is no reason to take fee cuts from social assistance funds.

"Actually, these assistants have been paid. This means that there is no reason for any fee or asssitance cuts," she said.
